We tell you when it’s not time
Even with the right maintenance, heating and cooling systems only last so long. But most can be kept running another few years with the right repair, and we’ll tell you when that’s the better deal. Customers call us for a second opinion because we’d rather fix what you have than sell you something you don’t need.
Sized for your house
The right system depends on the house: its size, insulation, ductwork or lack of it, and how you use each floor. A system that’s too big turns on and off constantly; one that’s too small never catches up. We look at all of it during the free in-home estimate and walk you through energy-efficient options for every home and budget.
Every install comes with
- Full factory warranties on the equipment
- A clear price before any work starts
- Next-day installation in most cases
- 0% financing on approved credit
Water heaters
We install and replace tank water heaters too. A new one is sized to how much hot water your household uses, not just copied from the old tank. In many older houses the water heater shares a chimney with the furnace or boiler, so when either one is replaced we check that the venting still works for the appliance left behind.
Whole-home generators
A gas furnace or boiler still needs electricity to run its controls and blower, so a power outage in January can mean no heat. A standby generator starts on its own when the power drops and keeps the heating, the sump pump and the refrigerator running. We install whole-home generators and service them, so they’re ready when the next storm comes through.
Permits and rebates
Replacing heating or cooling equipment needs a permit, and in straddled towns like Bryn Mawr the right office depends on which township your house is in. We sort out which one applies. PECO rebates can take some of the cost off qualifying ENERGY STAR equipment; we check the current amounts when we quote.
