Air conditioning we repair

Signs your AC needs a look

  • Warm air from the vents

Often a capacitor, refrigerant or outdoor unit problem. Worth checking before the house heats up.

  • It won’t turn on

A tripped breaker, a failed capacitor or a bad sensor are common causes, and most are one-part repairs.

  • Short cycling

The system turns on and off every few minutes, wearing out parts and never catching up.

  • Ice on the lines or coil

Usually restricted airflow or low refrigerant. Turn the system off and call before the ice melts and floods.

  • Water around the indoor unit

A clogged condensate drain is the usual culprit, especially with air handlers in the attic.

  • Higher bills, same comfort

A system working harder than it should often has dirty coils, low refrigerant or a failing part.

We repair before we replace

When your AC quits in July, you don’t have time to wait days for someone to show up. We come out quickly, find what actually failed and fix it. Most air conditioning problems come down to one part: a capacitor, a contactor, a fan motor or a sensor. When the part is on the truck, the repair often happens on the same visit.

If a part gets your system through another five summers, that’s what we recommend. Our customers tell us that’s the difference: a straight answer instead of a sales pitch for a new system.

When replacement makes more sense

Age, repeated breakdowns or an outdated refrigerant can make a new system the honest answer. When that’s the case, we put the repair price next to the replacement price and walk you through the options for your home and budget. New systems are usually installed the next day, come with full factory warranties, and 0% financing is available on approved credit. See new system installation for how we size and install.

Older homes without ductwork

Plenty of Main Line houses were built with radiators and no ducts. An air handler in the attic can cool the top floor through short duct runs, without opening up the plaster walls below. If that sounds like your house, our Bryn Mawr page goes into the options.

Keep it from happening again

Most summer breakdowns start as small problems a spring tune-up would catch. Our $54 Seasonal Maintenance visit cleans and checks your system before the first heat wave.

What customers say

4.9 stars from 300+ Google reviews.

A $500 fix, not a $10,000 system.

Highly recommend! Super knowledgeable and doesn’t try to upsell - just fixes the problem at a much lower (and reasonable) price! Fixed a sensor for my AC for $500 instead of trying to sell me a new AC for $10,000+. Will absolutely use again for all HVAC jobs.

Abigail W., AC repair

Same-day AC repair in a heat wave.

Saki was amazing, the staff was super responsive via email (responded within the hour!) when my AC went out in the beginning of a heat wave, and Saki came out same day and was super nice and friendly and repaired for a fair price. I’m a small business owner and I always try to support small businesses, and SK is a great one! AND they don’t try to up-sell you like big companies. I can’t recommend them enough!!

Nat S., AC repair in a heat wave

Troubleshot and fixed in one visit.

Saki is quite simply the best!! Incredibly knowledgeable, very efficient, and does fantastic work. He was able to troubleshoot the issue with my AC and have it fixed in less than 30 minutes. I cannot recommend him enough!!

Air conditioning repair questions

How much does AC repair cost?

It depends on what failed, and many repairs come down to a single part. We diagnose the problem first and tell you the price before any work starts, so you decide. One recent customer’s AC was fixed with a $500 sensor instead of a $10,000+ new system.

Should I repair or replace my air conditioner?

If the repair is small next to the system’s age and condition, repair it. If the system is old, needs repairs every season or runs on an older refrigerant, replacement can cost less over time. We show you both prices side by side and let you decide.

Do you offer emergency AC repair?

Yes. We answer emergency calls 24/7 at (610) 937-5357. During the week, same-day repair is common, and we’ll tell you honestly when we can get there.

Do you work on heat pumps?

Yes. We work on central air and heat pumps, all makes and models, including the attic air handlers many Main Line homes use to cool the top floor.
